Re: NAR: Bobo reportedly out at CSU

Agree that CSU is best left to it's own currently non rewarding and inept struggles, yet with the money to create their new football stadium we should see the results of really large amounts of money in a program. Still no guarantee of athletic success, but many of the trappings of the "big leagues"...

Re: Tedford out in Fresno

Appears this season was tough on MWC head football coaches. Coach Tedford stepping down in Fresno has to be a blow to that program, if nothing else, a break in continuity.....which won't break my heart at all.

Accurate post sword, yet the jury remains out on the Rams with P5 CU just down the road in Boulder. Certainly with that new glamorous facility they do get some looks from the media that sees size as the end all, but when have they filled their new palace to capacity? Hate to say that anyone who is overly concerned with decommits hasn’t followed college football recruiting nationally well enough. The realities of CFB recruiting is that you give out a lot more scholies than you have room for in order to mitigate non-commits or decommits. Some of the collective co...

The Potato Bowl pays twice what the Arizona Bowl offers. Arizona pays out around $400K and the Spud Bowl ponies up around $950 Large. Logistics made the Spud Bowl much more attractive than the bowl in Tucson Arizona. Money vs weather......I'll grab the cash every time I can.

It's super interesting what we are building on our O-line for the future. Hunter Hill last year, and now some solid guys this year. 247 has Alex Harrison warmer to USU. Could really be a smash mouth line 3-4 years from now that is dominating in the run game. Time is not our friend with the "O" line...

We had the horses to play a 3-4/3-3-5. What was done to Tipa by making him a DE was criminal. I'm so confused at why it happened Dude lived in the backfield last year. I'd go with inept and blundering regarding Tipa and the defense in general. To take a defense, a very good defense that played in 2...

Scratching my head about more T E's. We have on the roster 4 Jr. T E's and two Freshman T E's. Perhaps another GOOD Junior T E but a couple of the Junior T E's are big enough to be interior "O" linemen or "D" linemen. The other possibility is we are a verifiable bust with T E's to date. A 3-4 defense lends itself to aggression by its very nature. The 4-3 alignment didn't serve us at all well this season and that the 4-3 continued to be our basic set during the year continued to confirm the inability of Ena to use the talent on hand he inherited from the 2018 season.

And the lack of talent to make a a 4-3 scheme workable is an indictment of Ena, plus the tackling short comings are well documented.
