Re: Emilee Skinner commits to Duke
Glad to see we are letting Duke take a risk on her whether she develops into a real D1 player or not. If she pans out, we can just lure her back to Cache Valley with an NIL deal.

Re: Facilities First to upgrade
Personally, I have no problem with upgrading some of the Olympic sport facilities. The costs for the soccer field, track & field, and some of the other upgrades would be minimal overall and could help keep us doing well with those sports through improved recruiting. At the same time, I would start m...

I know this is not a popular take, but UNLV is to me the best option out there. I like regional rivalries, and Vegas has a ton of upside. I hope they can get their house in order financially. I'm not sold on UNLV being the best option. The only positive UNLV really brings is it being in a large met...

Re: Moving ahead without UNLV
I am not a fan of geographic dispersion that crosses the country. The added travel costs would not be worth it. While Hawaii is farther away from most PAC schools than the east coast, there is more of an allure travelling to Hawaii than Storrs, CT, or Harrisonburg, VA. At least with Hawaii there is ...

I can't say I am thrilled with all that has transpired, especially considering this is probably not the last major conference alignment shift this decade that will somehow impact USU. At the same time, I'm thrilled that for once USU is not on the outside trying to scramble for a decent landing spot....

I'm not sure if Legas is any better as a QB, but he was definitely a gamer. The team sure seemed to respond better with him and the offense had more life overall when he was on the field. Petras throws a nice looking ball and just missed some throws. Hopefully he just needs more real game experience...

What if the PAC 6 came to us and one other team, say San Jose State and said they will pay half our exit fees from the MWC to join the PAC. We agreed and jump ship. Then, the same 6 went back to the MWC... We would be paying exit fees and be stuck without a conference. This isn't possible is it? Fr...

Interesting article on CBS sports about the PAC trying to resurrect itself. As far as a TV deal, there doesn't appear to be anything in place yet and industry insiders are collectively shrugging as to the potential value being materially higher than what the MWC is currently receiving. Part of the e...

Has anything been mentioned about Crosby? Was her firing justified? Yes, it was. What did she do? Considering her responsibilities with Title IX, it is probably more of what she didn't do versus what she did. Whatever it was that justified her firing, she has publicly handled it the best out of her...

Re: No extension for PAC-12/MW agreement
The PAC2 are boxed in pretty tight. Any "best of the rest" conference the PAC2 might be able to cobble together won't move the TV money needle all that much, especially enough to offset the increased travel costs each school would incur. Schools joining would likely push for a portion of the PAC2 mo...

I'll take positivity over excuses or despair about having to play a P4 team as a money game or blasting fans who are upset about sending a limping QB continually back onto the field. GA 1.0 talked things up and while it took a couple of years, the results followed. We don't have nearly the dearth of...

Aren't the penalties in addition to the exit fees owed the conference by any departing member? If so, that increases the amount owed by $18 or $36 million for each MWC that wants to jump to a fast-sinking ship along with a TV contract that is likely no better than the current MWC payout and for a lo...

I'm not sure in what universe or alternate dimension UTSA and North Texas are among the best G5 schools to pick up and try to join with. I REALLY hate when they post the best/worst case scenarios. Best case is undefeated and worst case is 0 wins. Neutral for USU, will be amazing again for U of U. No such thing as neutral for USU if it is amazing for the U of U. Anything amazing for the U only puts USU that much further behind the flagship. Not entirely true. One of the best things that happened to USU athletically was Utah going to the Pac1...
