The end of the College Sports
NIL has killed a lot of enjoyment for college sports, but it looks like the final piece is about to be rolled out where the top schools will now be professional teams https://www.espn.com/college-sports/story/_/id/39047353/ncaa-proposes-rule-let-schools-athletes-enter-nil-deals From the NCAA Preside...

Buc-ees is not just another gas station. It is stocked and very large with all sorts of food for everyone (brisket, pastries, fudge, jerky, popcorn, and about a billion other items). That is like saying Georgia has been an ehhh football team the last 2 years. You might not get the hype, but you are ...

Bobby Petrino new OC for UNLV
It looks like UNLV is willing to sell its soul even more to win football games. I thought they had a great coach and he seemed to be a good dude and the team was heading in the right direction. Now they are going for broke with Petrino. He is going to challenge some defenses in the MW.

Great article. Love Chuckie and all that he has done for USU. Wells really had a controversial take though with Chuckie, "And in my opinion, he's one of the best quarterbacks to play at Utah State." That is really putting yourself out there with that comment :sarcasm: I wish we could have had a heal...

The best part about the loss is the unbiased  reporting by the Dnews "But the officials swallowed their whistles, time ran out and the Commodores danced away with a dramatic 69-67 victory." I have heard of fans using that expression but a reputable non biased paper like the DNews. I am shocked...

Re: LA Bowl - anyone know the payout?
I don't know the answer but from the original announcement of the bowl we have the following quote:
The game’s payout has not been revealed, but Thompson said “it will financially be the most lucrative bowl game, other than a CFP or BCS game, that we’ve played in.

ESPN had a write up on new coaches: Craig Smith, Utah Utes: Smith and the Utes rolled through their first five games of the season, beating 2021 NCAA tournament participant Abilene Christian in the opener and then knocking off Boston College and Tulsa on back-to-back nights in Daytona Beach. They hu...

UTSA and Texas State are not followed in the area. Everyone here is either a Longhorns fan or an A&M fan. UTSA has been awful until this year. You never hear or see any local media or talk of either college. It might be the only one in SA, but everyone in SA is traveling to see the Longhorns or A&M

It looks like it is the Henry Colombi show now at Texas Tech. Well's fate will be determined on how well the young gun does in year 2 as the starter.
Do we get Alan Bowman as a consolation prize for losing Colombi?

That was a terrible decision and one that could have very well cost us the game. If you can get the ball out of the worst free throw shooter in the game and get it to the best you make the pass.

I also wonder if the not playing until after Thanksgiving is because most schools are going remote after the break. This would mean their teams would be in a little more like a bubble atmosphere without as many students on campus.

I am not sure where you pulled Shelley's stats but I can confirm that they are incorrect. He was a 4 year starter in high school. Jordan Love, QB, Utah State Like Herbert, Love arrived in Mobile with a lot to prove. His 2019 tape was hard to watch at times, especially after his breakout 2018 campaign. 24. New Orleans Saints Jordan Love, QB, Utah State So you probably see Love's stat line -- 20 touchdown passes, 17 interceptions -- and think this pick doesn't make sense, but you need to know the context around this Utah State team. My favorite bbq joint in Frisco is Hutchins BBQ. It has great bbq and all you can eat cobbler, ice cream, and banana pudding. The other option is Rudy's which is a chain and not terrible. It is right by Toyota Stadium.
