Re: Calling It: Ags by 5; 28-23

I'm not optimistic given last week's ass-whupping. That's exactly why I'm optimistic. Hopefully it served as a true wake up call. Do you think Crayons will be able to draw up an additional play or two on the back of his napkin playbook this week when he hasn't been able to all season? In his defens...

Re: We are gonna curb stomp BYU

I HATE BYU more than the next guy but this is not what I would consider a "VERY winnable" game for us. This game scares the $hit out of me and it's not because I think this is a good BYU team. I hate them too and it makes me sad knowing that we could get hammered. They are coming off a bye after be...

Re: 15 of our 17 drives against Nevada were less than 2 minutes.

IMHO fast only works when sustaining drives. The first 3 plays the defense is right with us. Later on they're gassed which can lead to breakdowns and scores.

When just going 3 and out repeatedly, it loses the advantage.

All I can say is 1. If Matt Wells goes 2-3 the next five games(no better, no worse), we would have to the cheer for the Longhorns against him. 2. If Matt Wells goes 0-4, 3-1 or 4-0 the next four games, along with Kansas State going 1-4 in the next five, we would have to cheer for him against K Stat...

Not sure if I should be glad the Trib thinks so "highly" of us or sad they don't realize our conference has different division names. :headscratch:

I'll never get over him opening and closing his hand in my face at Maverick. At the 2017 Aggie Family Fun Day, my 11 year old son was in the line to get autographs from Dallin Leavitt and Jalen Davis. While waiting in line we noticed Coach Wells about 10 feet away. My son stepped out of line to see...

In most sports, it also comes down to who stays healthy throughout the season. Obviously, our first question is if Queta is even going to be Queta to start the season. If that happens and we stay healthy throughout and we don't let the hype go to our heads, then I predict a super special season.

Re: Reasons USU Wins Saturday (none of them reality-based)

Reason #15: UCF, ranked #18, loses, which begins a string of ranked teams losing this weekend so our upset win gets us as highly ranked as possible.

Wait, that one actually happened. Maybe this is the wrong thread for that.

Re: Obligatory ref complaint thread

I agree with this. Cost us the first down there and added some stress at the end. I felt the ball was snapped and he had nearly made the first down before it got blown dead.

Luckily we won. It is what it is. But I would be ticked about this very play had it cost us the game.

The Aggies lost the time-of possession by almost two minutes to Stony Brook. If they can’t hold the ball for more than 30 minutes against an FCS opponent, it might not happen all year. You're kidding right? Having less time of possession and scoring 62 points simply means we scored quickly and a lo...

Best thing: Heisman hype is over and we can focus now on having a great season.

Worst thing: no undefeated season. I recognize that wasn't happening, but some year I'd love to make it half the season undefeated before we blow it.
