Re: What head coaches that you like for next season

I’m a little willing to consider Jay Hill…look at what he has done with the zoobs defense? They are winning games because of that D and they don’t have remarkable talent either. I’ve changed my tune on him as of late and think he may be a good option and a big departure from what we’ve been trying ...

Re: What head coaches that you like for next season

Can someone give me an example of when a coach that failed with significant resources went on to have a lot of success coaching at a program with fewer resources? I can think of some the other way (e.g., Mike Locksley falling flat on his face at UNM and then later doing fine at Maryland), but I can...

Re: PAC 12 update

My dream scenario: TNT/TBS/TruTV (Turner) -- Primary Rights CW/AppleTV -- Secondary Rights On Fox/ESPN/CBS, we will be second class citizens. Pac-12 would be the bell cow for college sports on the above networks. I see what you are saying, but you HAVE to have some games on Fox/ESPN/CBS. This is wh...

Re: PAC 12 update

Apple TV is not national. The live network TV viewership numbers are decreasing, while the streaming numbers are increasing. I’m absolutely okay with being on Apple TV, provided they are the highest bidder. It is going to be a package deal with CW, FOX, and Apple. All 3 have made moves in getting P...

My guess is Memphis is choosing their partner, and they would rather have tulane.

Then UTSA comes the next year when the buyout is lower.

Urban Meyer is known to give input on coaching hires around the country. Sabau is know to have a good relationship with Urban Meyer. I would be shocked if there was not some connection there with the hire.

Re: Gotta love the transfer portal

The best things a capitalist economy does is harness the natural selfishness of people. College football is an example of an economy that was developed by either 9-year-olds or Ohio State fans. It's idiotic and we're incentivizing people to do stupid things. It's working out nicely for Ohio State t...

Doing what's best for themselves=being selfish. There's no debate about that. Dance with the one who brought you. Sometime yes. Doing what is best for you is selfish. In fact, I would say that in most cases of selfishness, the person was acting in their own self interest. Doesn't mean a guy shouldn...

I'm hearing that some dudes are going to use their redshirt year and sit out the rest of the season. I don’t blame them. We stink. And they stuck through a lot. Jason Walker mentioned Isaac Davis is trimmed down and is quicker and more explosive than what you’d expect from a cat that size. Will be interesting to see if he redshirts or not. To my understanding, the "Donors" that are footing the exit fee bill for USU to go to the PAC include Ryan Smith and others from the "tech millionaire" crowd in Utah County. If what I'm hearing is true, massive props to Sabau in the pitch that was made to this crowd on the overall benefit to the st...

pretty sure i read the PAC plan is 9 conference games, unless we bag the FCS game, which I would support, that only leaves one home and home OOC game each year. This is assuming we keep the money game each year as well, the good thing is this should allow us to have 7 home games every other year. T...

Man, USF is so far away, i Guess that is worse for them than for us. It's just one game for each team for us.

Even still I would prefer to grab, Memphis, Tulane and UTSA. Get to 10 football members, then take Wichita State for all other sports and be a 12 basketball teams.

I wonder if the Pac is strategically waiting to announce anything with any AAC teams until the MWC has made all their moves. If the Pac goes and takes a few AAC teams and destabilizes them, that opens up more options for the MWC to take better teams. Better to let them take utep and Texas State then...

No. You can't keep rebranding. All out old logs are awful and usual new logos are awful. We finally have something that is not terrible you hold onto it and build that brand.

I could see an updated secondary logo. But I do love the current bull logo.
