Re: Cooper Lewis
I have only seen highlights of this kid. He looks tremendous on those highlights but it is very telling that he has no D1 offers in the state of Utah. There is definitely something missing from his overall game, I just don’t know what it is.

Huh. It seems we have quite the juxtaposition between SLB and our new head coach. Which one are we to trust?? It seems our new head coach didn’t even deem Barnes worth a walk-on spot. https://i.postimg.cc/rFMLqp3r/IMG-2688.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/zBQ39g0K/IMG-2685.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/VvGy7qgP...

Re: Current State of USU Basketball
I personally think in this new world we live in that it’s a matter of seeing how many and the quality of athletes that are in the portal and comparing what their potential contribution could be as opposed to an unproven freshman. They also have to consider that if the freshman plays and exceeds expe...

I can honestly say he is the best pure high school shooter I have ever seen and I’ve watched thousands of high school games. Would he be able to defend? Probably not. Would he create his own shot? Hard no. Can he shoot the lights out? Hell yes. I have zero skin in the game. This is 1000% an objectiv...

In regards to the original post. We have 2 players on NBA rosters and players getting poached by Kentucky and just won a tournament game. I’d say the state of USU basketball is pretty, pretty, pretty good.

Re: Edey or Sampson
I would compare Sampson more to victor. So very athletic, moved like a guard. Big men fishy shoot 3’s in that era, but I think it easily could have been part of his game. He also would have been able to defend the perimeter where Zach has no chance. I don’t see Zach being a force in the NBA. With th...

Reminder, Levi had a 247.1 passer rating against Idaho State. But what was his passer rating against Georgia State? It actually was 115.7. It was more the defenders that had the low ratings that day. Did we have a single stop that day? In the first half, we only got one forcing them into a field go...

Kaitlyn Clark is special and so fun to watch. I wish everyone would just let her be Kaitlyn and stop speculating about how she would do in the men’s game. Reminds me of Serena Williams and hearing how she works do in the men’s game. Apples to oranges.
