Re: Colombi Transferring

Bowman can sling it. 69.4% completion percentage with 329 yards a game as a true freshman. I'm afraid Henry dug his own grave on this one. I talked to a co-worker that is a Texas Tech season ticket holder. His response to the Colombi commitment was "Someone has to backup Brittle Bowman". [emoji2369...

Re: Colombi Transferring

That is fair. Henry was a really good ambassador for USU. I feel this whole situation was bad. I assumed he had more options than walking on to TTU. I probably don't know the whole situation. In the end, I just feel badly for a really good young man. He had around 19 offers. I knew he was going to ...

Re: Colombi Transferring

Didn't Shelley enter the transfer portal back in Feb? If he did, why did it take so long for him to land here? Was his landing here contingent on being immediately eligible? To me, Shelley coming in so late feels like Gary throwing him an opportunity to compete for a QB position as an effort to keep...

Re: New QB transfer?

Unless Colombi has been told otherwise, pretty sure this is still his job to lose. I really hope he just takes this opportunity and owns it. I get the loyalty card and how he could feel betrayed. But Shelley coming in really feels like Gary throwing a life line to one of his former players. Sent fro...

Re: New QB transfer?

What I think/speculate will happen: Colombi is going to be the more accurate passer and win the job. Shelley will play in a wildcat/cleanup roll. At least starting out. Similar to when Hobbs came to play from Oregon.

Re: Kuba return date?

My 14 yr old son got his appendix out this fall. Just 1 week before football season started. Even though he came home the next day, we were advised to not let him play "contact sports" for 8 weeks. He ended up missing the entire season. Well, even if the kid's a prodigy, 14 is way too young to play...

No, you are spot on. Especially on the play when we got called for roughing the passer. Tipa was clearly being held right in front of the referee, yet no flag. Gary should contact the league about the holding against Tipa, Justice and others. Send the league some game film isolating the non calls b...

I’ll be okay with this IF AND ONLY IF there is absolutely no blue trim anywhere on the uniform. It must be black and pewter (and/or white, maybe), no exceptions. Blue just doesn’t go with black. This is why Utah’s blackout unis look amazing and BYU’s look like garbage I couldn't disagree more. I lo...

I looked into the preseason FPI ranking a little. It looks at the last four years, returning players and returning coaches. USU does not fair well in those categories.

The PAC12 has a set location for their playoff. Didn't seem to hurt their attendance. Attendance was terrible for the P12 game. Actual attendance was probably less than 5000. Reported attendance, who knows They closed off the upper bowl and tickets for lower bowl were going as low as $10. And it wa...

Very intersting. So from an historical perspective there are only 5 Aggies seasons since 2002 that are better than what we are currently achieving. And we are closing in on two of those seasons. I don’t know where we’ll ultimately finish but is it too optimistic tomthink we could get an NIT invite?...

I think the refs made the right call on not calling the block in the back. The USU guy got him in the front. Evident by the BSU guy landing on his back.

When I worked up there, I know that the Video Coordinator would send a compiled list of plays to the conference for review after each game. Watched the CSU game. What a nightmare for CSU. Some bad calls went against them. Gets them frustrated. Lots of stupid unforced turnovers (and forced). Bakersfield was on fire in the first half, hitting like 10-13 3s. CSU forced a lot of bad shots, and missed a lot of open shots. Total train wreck t...
