Re: does having more pro-Sports in Utah help to raise USU's profile
If we are adding women's sports, I think if makes most sense to add women's gold and women's lacrosse. Both would be fairly inexpensive adds. Lacrosse would be cool and would pay himage to the native American heritage. Golf would be cheap and I heard that it's the sport with the most unused scholar...

Utah would probably be the first to get hockey. Their club team is already div 1. I think if you are going to add hockey though, just add a men's and women's team. Make it simple.

We play ASU often. Just not NCAA. If it's acha div 1 or 2, that's a different question, but definitely not NCAA

Re: We need to start searching for a new head coach
We have played ACHA div 1 teams. But not NCAA. ASU has had NCAA hockey since 2015. We have never played them. I played for USU until 2012. After that, I scouted for oregon until 2022. I know the western hockey landscape. I thought that we played them in the years in the 2013-2014 years. ASU didn't ...

Re: We need to start searching for a new head coach
Start investing in the hockey program at USU. I will still need a hockey team to cheer for if they name the team in salt lake the yeti... I cant believe people like that name- it is so horrible. I do agree with this, and there is also the upcoming Winter Olympics. USU hockey played teams that are D...

I really don't like the Blizzard. It's too close to avalanche, bit at least an avalanche is a powerful dangerous thing. A blizzard is an inconvenience. Not intimidating at all.

Re: NHL to Utah official! What's next?
While I understand why people want the eagles, there already is an AHL team in Colorado named the eagles. While there are some teams in the AHL with the same nickname as an NHL team, they're affiliated with that NHL team, so I don't think it likely. I’m not sure anyone cares about that. Eagles is a...

Part of me gets the idea that it would be nice to make .5-1mil for playing college sports when your prospect for playing any sort of professional ball is not in the cards. But for guys like Great that could go to the NBA or overseas and make millions on a career, why not stay at an amazing universi...

Yeah this feels like an AD from Ohio that made the wrong choice for a school in Utah Thoroughly unimpressed by Diana if we actually had a month + to look for candidates, dumped money into a search firm, then came up with a guy near retirement who has never coached a tournament game. Maybe I missed ...

Re: WBB: Ard fired before presser
Do we know if it was before the presser? Maybe it was a few days ago, similar to the Washington's men team. I have this question as well. If this was the case, most people would have thrown the word "just" in there (e.g. "I just spoke with Diana ..."). I think in this situation, it would have been ...

People post because they are passionate. When you are passionate, you sometimes post dumb stuff after a loss. Those "boomers" are also the ones paying for those players to go to school, have a bed, food to eat, etc. I'm not saying that gives anyone license to act poorly, but I wouldn't say there ar...

Forgive me, I should have phrased that better. USU Athletics does not have a hockey team. Thus, converting USU Athletics facilities to accommodate a hockey team, which they do not have, is asinine. Again, I love USU hockey. But it’s not part of the athletics department, nor should it be. A lot of u...

Title nine combined with the number of scholarships given for football make it nearly impossible for a school to support many other men's sports if they have a football team. This greatly limits the scholarship opportunities for boys who excel at sports that aren't football or basketball. I have li...
