Re: Aggies no votes yet in either poll

Since when does actual on field performance mean anything with regards to rankings? Not saying USU deserves any votes yet, but seriously, USU has significantly beat performance predictions so far and no one seems to notice. They are stuck in the 2020 season. The thing about rankings is that to get ...

Re: Carson Strong

Looking forward to getting this argument resolved in 10 years so Yossarian can have some closure. I think we dodge a bullet by not having Nevada on the schedule this year. At least not until the conference championship game. UNLV, Hawaii and San Jose State is probably the most favorable crossover g...

Re: Aggies no votes yet in either poll

Wait, how the hell is Arizona getting votes in the AP? Aren't they 0-2 against BYU and SDSU?? Arizona had 0 votes in the pre-season poll. After losing to BYU they got 5 from a voter that said she accidentally voted for Arizona instead of Arizona State but corrected it...it hasn't been corrected tho...

Re: Home and Away Sides at Maverik Stadium

It's to have the visiting team have to deal with the student section. Wells tried to make the same change but was told no because they couldn't have teams cross each other to get to the locker rooms. Blake made the request again and it was approved this time.

I don't see the BYU basketball games going away anytime soon. BYU has even begun playing at UVU and just announced another game in Orem. I do think we will see years that the football game isn't played though. Mostly because I don't think that we will ever be a priority for one of the 3 OOC games o...

Re: Updated Aggie License Plate?

The plates are technically tied in to the Alumni association and the block A logo is the Alumni Association's logo. Most universities in the state have gotten permission to use their Athletic logos but USU hasn't for some reason.

Re: Some good expansion news

I wonder if we could get Wichita State and St. Mary's and force the Zags to make a move? This is an interesting idea. St. Mary's can't be in love with the major sweetheart deal the Zags get. Just get them to come to the MWC (along with Wichita...I don't want St. Marys on their own) and let the Zags...

Re: Some good expansion news

Yeah, Gonzaga probably stays and just negotiates an even higher piece of the pie in the WCC, but if I were them I'd leave and if I was a Gonzaga fan I'd much rather have them in the MW. They've already negotiated a deal where they get to keep 100% of the revenue that the bring in from the NCAA Tour...

Re: Friday night

The future of Aggie football is the Wasatch Front. It's been that way for 2 decades now. With that in mind, weeknight games can be more difficult for those of us that don't live as close to the stadium. I really want to be at the game but going to a game from Provo requires a commitment of at least...

Probably. Our last game on CBS was the 2013 MW Championship game at Fresno. That same year we played on ABC at USC but getting on one of the big national networks has been extremely rare period.

Boise doesn't draw like they used to. Colorado State has fewer seats available than Boise, and it's a month further out.
Boise also costs more and until recently was only available as part of a 3 game package where you could choose BYU or Boise.

Are we going to get the NCAA Football video games back because of this? If so, that's a definite benefit. They had already announced that it would come out in July of 2023. Lot's of details still missing. Initially it sounded like it would be a subset of schools that they got licensing directly thr...

Re: NAR - Hawaii's Colt Brennan dead at the age of 37

The guy was a beast at Hawaii, he lit us up for 52 points at Aloha Stadium in 2007 and killed us 62-10 in Logan in 2006, I think that has to be our worst home loss in our history (point wise). There have been 2 home losses that were worse but we don't need to talk about them. They happened in 1937 ...

Apparently Vegas is the top candidate right now. As an Angels fan I'd love to have an AL West team just down the road to see my team play more. Vegas wouldn't be a bad drive either but Salt Lake is easy enough to make it to a few games each year.

Incredibly sad. What kind of rehab facility was he at? I would be curious to know what the cause of death was (suicide? OD? Something else)? He had a bad car accident back in 2010 that apparently messed him up and also got arrested for a DUI in 2012. TMZ says that he was in to work on "sobriety ."

No. When they installed the new field the endzones were originally solid blue and they had to cut out the wording and logos to inlay them. This is the scraps from the new field install. I've been using a large piece as a welcome mat ever since.
