Re: Getting tired of this basketball matchup

Sorry, bad post. It isn't bad luck that's beating us. After getting beat year in and year out you have to be introspective and ponder "maybe their program is currently better than ours". Time for Odom and company to fix this. You don't stop playing the game. I can't think of anything more admitting ...
Bean, Jones and Horvath were great! I know it's early but Ashworth doesn't seem to have improved at all from last season, he looks like Crew Ainge out there.
Completely agree. Ashworth hasn't shot well and turns the ball over. Not ready to write him off but getting there. I couldn'...

Not sure what game you guys were watching but without Rylon Jones, we don't win that game. He was fantastic in the overtimes. I'll take him over Worster any day.

Re: Gary A.

I thought it was common knowledge that Gary asked to be fired. Said he didn't want to work as hard as was needed to make the program successful. Asked Hartwell to pay him for the year, fire him and he'd be gone without causing any problems. I'm sure there is a lot of nuance that can be shared, but, ...

Re: Which will be harder to replace?

I actually think Queta was under utilized on offense. He rarely received the ball on the low block. So many of the passes to him were at the elbow of the paint where he couldn't do anything. This was a criticism I had of Smith before he became an a$shole.

Re: Craig Smith says he wants to play Utah State

Did you notice that he said he would love to play the game "if Utah State is open to it too"? Does that mean if USU is open to only playing in SLC? A lot of detail missing here. I will give Smith full credit if he plays us home and home.

Re: We got the home run hire in Odom.

C'mon guys. The quotes won't make or break Ryan Odom. His coaching and recruiting ability will do that. This being said, these quotes don't hurt and they do help legitimize Odom when he goes to recruit new players. I'm drinking the Ryan Odom kool-aid. I think Hartwell did a fantastic job.

Thanks for the note, Craig. You are no longer an Aggie, you are a Ute and, therefore, the enemy. Words can't express how much I hope you fail at your new job. I do believe that ash-worth is staying in logan so depending on who stays and goes are starting five would be 1. ashworth 2. rollie 3. miller 4.bean 5.dorius? that starting five is the whitest team ever Not only is it very white, but it is not a team that will win a lot of games. Tim Miles turned around CSU, but was never great. His best finish in the MW was 4th and his best season was 20-12 overall and 8-6 in the league with a first round exit. Nebraska is a hard place to win, but other than his second year with Craig Smith there were a lot of 10th, 11th and 12th place fin...

I’ve been stalking to get an idea what Utah is getting in Smith. I was all in on him as I never thought Jensen would leave the NBA. Looks like Smith's loyalty to USU is about to be tested. I don't think anyone thought Utah's main targets would withdraw their names from consideration. Harlan looks very bad at this point. It's going to look worse when Coach Smith says no as well. IF he hasn't already. Man, I hope you're right.
