Re: Recruiting

I feel like a lot of these grad transfers are underwhelming. I can't help but wonder if the scholarship would be better used on a JC guy, HS kid, or a sit-a-year transfer. I'm confident/hopeful we have two scholarships available (I have a really hard time seeing Klay Stall come back). I 100% agree ...

Re: Recruiting

It's really tough competition for any of these grad transfers so far. They're basically all going P5. I still think our best bet is finding a grad transfer from a P5 who has had limited playing time that wants to come get minutes. Here's who Malik Zachary a narrowed his final 3 down to: https://twit...

He's an exciting transfer but I can't imagine he's leaving North Texas to attend USU. I'm going to guess tampering with this one and the kid already knows he's got a P5 spot for him.

Re: Anyone have access to J Love article?

I spoke with with them at the beginning of the 2019 season and they had Jordan going in the 4th or 5th round. This did not sit well with the posters on this board. It “didn’t sit well” because I knew you and your scout friends were 100% wrong. You aren’t the only one here with “sources” and “connec...

Re: Football Season Is In Jeopardy

There’s not a doubt in my mind China’s death toll is easily 10x more than what they’ve reported.

As of right now without a miracle vaccine created and mass distributed, I don’t think there’s any way football is played (in front of crowds at least) this year.

Jalen Tate update. I think he ends up at Cincinnati or Xavier but who knows. Again we’ve seen plenty that say they have interest from us and in the end we never contacted. But this kid would be good. Yeah, in addition to this kid there's been seemingly about 30 other "new recruits" showing their offers on Twitter.

Two things. 1. Vance Jackson is not coming here. 2. It is beginning to look like we need to go to juco or guys that "may" have to sit out, like AJ Walker. Assuming we do have two spots available (if Stall leaves or takes a medical retirement) then I'm a huge advocate of using that 2nd spot for an i...

I'm confused about Lefeged's switch. Is he playing 'Nickel'? or is he playing that new hybrid LB position similar to what Roquemore played (The SPUR position)? This article in the Deseret News and interview with Coach A makes it sound like Lefeged will actually be in the Nickel spot. https://www.des...

It makes sense to me that we would have a better chance at landing the P5 guy who was behind some really talented players and not getting the minutes he wanted verses the smaller school standout who's wanting to play somewhere on a bigger stage.

New guard transfers from yesterday that seem interesting at least. Some of them probably are high major guys in Carlik Jones and Carter Diarra. Carlik Jones (Radford, Grad Transfer, 20 ppg, 6 apg, 5 rpg) Seems like he will be at a high major. If Jones came here, his stats would go through the roof....

While I agree that Casdon would be a nice addition to the team, I agree with the point that for the limited 1-2 spots we have left we are aiming higher. And we also definitely need some ball handling/speed. With regards to Miller vs. Jardine, they're totally different players. I think Miller is quic...

A BYU DL is now in the portal as a grad transfer. He hasn't played a ton because he's been behind some pretty solid DL's. I assume with all the bans on groups no formal practices are going on. Are the players doing individual work?

How is the team preparing for the next season?

Just curious if anyone knows anything about this.
Not much. This whole thing really hurts 'developmental programs' like ours.
