Re: Reasons For Optimism

My reason for optimism is we have Maile and Collins back on defense and our Scheme on defense is much more suited for our team. If we can stay healthy I think we will see good improvement on defense.

Offense who knows. To much change in philosophy, coaching and personnel to have any idea.

Anyone else hitting their comcast usage limits with all the TV streamed at home these days? Are you speaking of this thing called cable tv? :headscratch: Bruh, there are so many other options aside from that old system. Something to think about. We use Hulu, which seems to do just fine for 60 a mon...

Is it just me or was there a couple 4 tight end line-ups in those pics?
Hopefully the days of running a delay handoff out of the shotgun and four wr set on 3rd and 1 are behind us.
No joke! I’ve seen TT do this a bunch with little success.

I like this kid. Good size.. I’ve seen him play a few times and I love his game and should really blossom once our Strength coach gets a hold of him. I heard we didn’t have a scholarship for him. Something must have changed.

I hope and still think he can turn it around. They could have won UT and KSU just as easily as lost and then everyone would be singing a completely different tune. This year is basically a mulligan anyways. TT actually (in my untrained eyes) look to be pretty talented and have some good players in p...

Some here are way too infatuated with Yost... personally, I felt he was too rigid. I want an OC that's a mad scientist - willing to do anything that works.
The TT folks are not infatuated with Yost or Paterson.

Agree but holy cow. Their Dline and Oline absolutely dominated. Their o line only had 2 returning starters and they were missing 30 players (I don’t care who you are that a ton).

Re: Sam Merrill Hype Picking Up Steam

I think he will get drafted in second round by Boston. I was at MW tourney and Ainge had a front row seat to see what Sam can do. He would fit well there. They need a 3 point specialist. I loathe Boston but would cheer for them if Sam were to go there. That would be a good spot. A good stable spot ...

There is rumor that our schedule may still include BYU as well. BYU is supposedly paying the MWC to keep the BSU and possibly the USU game if we can find a way to swing it on our end. This may end up meaning that we drop a MWC game on our current schedule to pick the BYU game, it would not be tacke...

Seems we had a couple kids opt out...Scarver and someone else? Maybe metzenheimer? Be curious to see if their opinions have changed? Meitzenheimer has the best linebacker name since Busta and McNutt. Remember Eddie Badabanga (or somegthing like that)? I think he was safety but awesome football name.
