Re: UNLV fires coach

They were steadily improving after being a doormat for the longest time. My guess is they will backslide and the next guy will have to start from scratch again.

Dumb move.

You missed the sixth option.
The 'After the season you've had, you'll take this bowl and like it because that's all there is left' bowl.

It's at a local high school just outside of Jackpot, NV.

And yes, we'll be happy to be going bowling after the season we just had.

It happened on the court right in front of me. At first I was outraged, and then I watched a replay on twitter. It was one of those cases where Rylan was trying to be clever and draw contact, but in the process he "shouldered" the defensive player and was whistled for a player control foul. If he j...

Re: Tucker needs to be shown the door.

I always hate when people make that arguement. Kansas also has access to B12 money and has better recruits and thus better players than us…of course they would fare better than the Aggies in the B12. Tucker is not perfect but considering what he did last year with those weapons and how he adjusted ...

3 straight D1 losses now. Eric Williams scored 43 vs us and was 7/8 from 3. In 5 other games he has 60 points combined and is 2/19 from 3. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Williams wasn't playing great ball prior to our game. The dude went off, we WON, good for him. It's a good sign that he went ...

That is all. This isn’t even fairly debatable at this point. Give it up already. BA will employ who he will. The offense isn't that bad. You want to see an offense? Watch Andy Kotelnicki’s offense at KU. It’s beautiful. We could trade one 6-6 offense for another 6-6 offense! LOL. One team is 6-6 pl...

Re: Two critical plays

He had some good throws and a few bad ones. The announcers last week were raving about his passes and I think at one point he completed 9 in a row. Coach has mentioned several times that they can’t keep him out of the film room and practice field. It’s too bad he didn’t get a couple games under his...

They have continuity in their program -coach to coach they don't have to start from zero every time. They have better players. Many BSU recruits were also offered by USU, but few USU players were offered by BSU It's that simple. Continuity and quality in their program over the last twenty-five year...

Re: Utah State Football needs a Shift in Identity.

The spread offense isn't a gimmick. Over the last decade or so, teams like Alabama shifted from the power run days of classic SEC football to the spread offense. It puts far more pressure on the defense, and I would argue it is easier to recruit the players needed. There are far more high school ath...

Re: Two critical plays

1. The dropped TD pass in the 3rd quarter resulting in a field goal. 2. Legas' underthrow of McGriff by about ten yards on the final drive. Without the dropped TD pass, the score is tied at 28 on the final drive and we would have been running clock to kick the go-ahead FG. Or, if Legas hits McGriff...

Re: Tucker needs to be shown the door.

My main complaint with Tucker this year is that it seems he doesn't use the entire field in the passing game. He spreads the defense as wide as possible, but it seems like every pass play is designed to use only a small segment of the field. Perhaps it is due to Legas' inexperience? I don't know, bu...

Turnovers often are effectively a missed shot, i don't overly stress about them. Although not all turnovers are created equal. As annoying as they are, I can live with most of the PI's. Our DB's are undersized, and I prefer a fifteen-yard penalty over a sixty-yard touchdown pass.

The personal fouls are inexcusable and the constant jawboning after a routine play is really just embarrassing.
