Re: Red Zone Offense

We should not be in the bottom 5 or so out of all 130 FBS teams in redzone efficiency!!!! We should be on the other end of the spectrum to be honest. We have a NFL caliber QB and some pretty good RB and WR on a 6-4 football team. No reason we should be kicking field goals every time we get in the r...

Hmmm. That seems stupid to waste a year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk How is it a waste of one year? Maybe the kid doesn't want to redshirt. I'm reminded of Pat Tilman's statement to Bruce Snyder when told Snyder intended to redshirt him as a freshman: "You can redshirt me if you want to, but...

Re: Gary Andersen

My two cents worth: GA inherited this team. He did a good job recruiting to fill some glaring gaps (Warren, Mariner and Repp, for example). But there were also major problems on D at the beginning. We're playing a 5-2 cause we don't have enough talented LB's to play a 3-4 and as the season has shown...

We didn't have the defensive personnel to stop AF---and I don't think the 5-2 was well suited to the task either.

Re: Which team will show up on Saturday?

I'm concerned we simply don't have the personnel on offense. If that's true, is it even fixable? In fact, it was so bad before GA arrived (graduation losses) that the lion's share of the offense we've had is the Utah guys he brought in and Warren (albeit, G. Bright has been stellar, as always). As ...

Re: Which team will show up on Saturday?

They (AF) have their most athletic team in awhile, but we were still bigger on both sides of the LOS. We have a high draft NFL QB. We have an all-American kick returner, an all-American LB and, IMHO, better team speed than them and they destroyed us. But lets assume I'm simply wrong in all of that, ...

Which team will show up on Saturday?

Which Aggie team will show up on Saturday---the one that should have beaten (and nearly beat) a very good Wake team or the one that got absolutely dominated in every phase of the game by a smaller and arguably less athletic Air Force team? More to the point: do we have any realistic hope of acquirin...

Three plays that changed the game? Are you kidding me? We were totally dominated in every phase of the game. It is, with all due respect, lunacy to think that a different outcome in three plays would have materially changed a damn thing.

Agree or disagree, you’ll find out- this program is going to go down under Gary Andersen. I was excited about the hire, I’m not anymore. It’s been obvious in every single game this season. And the additional challenge this year is that they have a passing game. They have a passing game? Air Force is averaging 14.5 attempts per game completing 5.7 of those passes for 133 yrds. They have 6 touchdowns and 3 interceptions. That is not a passing game. They hit one to two big shots a game ...

Yeah, uh that's always been an important recruiting metric: does the kid have a palindrome name. Good that you're on top of that. :headscratch: It's amazing we had 11 wins last year without a palindrome name on the roster.
