Re: Dump 1280!
That argument aside, a born-and-raised basketball player from the state of Utah was just drafted (and gets playing time for) an east coast NBA team (an occurrence that rarely ever happens). You have their beat writer on your sports radio show for 20 minutes, why wouldn't you talk about that Utah pl...

Re: Bosie to the AAC?
Let them go. Having 11 schools that play football would be the only issue. Hopefully either Hawaii would go independent at the same time, or BYU is added. If they wanted to take BYU and Air Force with them to the AAC, that would be fine by me as well. Playing Air Force every year hobbles the line fo...

Re: So if you are Blake Anderson?
He’s got a five year deal and a one win team next season with no drama is improvement from this year. I think he’ll be just fine getting to build a team from the ground up. He went to Arkansas State as their fifth coach in five years, so he’s had experience cleaning up prior coaches messes. The spee...

Re: Players voted against playing because of comments by President Cockett
Personally, I am worried for Frank and the future of the assistants. This does not make them look good for future employers. With few job openings to fill, I thought more than a few would out of coaching for a year. I agree this doesn’t help their prospects at all. It also applies to any players th...

Re: Recruiting Formula
I want to add that I think that the cfb paradigm has changed a bit with the "formula". The transfer landscape has changed things. USU should put a big focus on transfer IMO. That's an area we can bring in more talented/higher recruited kids that are looking for more playing time or whatever it may ...

Re: 85, 25, grad transfers and covid 2020 transfers
This is the year to recruit High School kids. There are fewer getting recruited and I think just stabilizing the ship is enough next season. Yes, no bowl game, but we start building for the future and play the underclassmen. I don’t want to see a bunch of JC kids and transfers. New Mexico is as bad ...

If this goes through does that mean no FBS/FCS games. That would be my biggest worry, and honestly the majority of P5 teams would be effected.

I use this option because my wife loves the Hallmark Christmas movies and I get football/basketball. Win/Win.AGGIEinIOWA wrote: ↑November 25th, 2020, 10:12 amFUBO is a good option too. Has the FS1/2, CBSSN, as well as ESPN/2. It also has HGTV and Hallmark, which was a requirement by the ladies in my household and YouTube TV didn't offer.

Re: Damage to the state of the program
I'm not worried. I think we'll win 7+ games and be back in a bowl game in 2022 I agree. The 2022 schedule sets up nicely for bowl eligibility (subject to change). @ Alabama vs. Air Force @ Boise State @ BYU @ Colorado State @ Hawaii vs. New Mexico vs. San Jose State vs. UCONN vs. UNLV vs. Weber Sta...

It’s by Doug Robinson, so of course he’s piling on when the program is down. If there is something to criticize about USU he’s quick to jump on it. He’ll always be the guy that wrote the biased article about renaming the stadium after the remodel. His articles include advocating USU and BYU joining ...

I remember they started to clear some of the snow and it left a foot tall mound of snow near the hashes so they had to delay the game. I love watching in the snow. The rain when it 30-40 degrees is miserable, but put the on some layers and warm clothes and it’s better than the CSU game last year. I ...

Re: Gary Fired!!!?!?!!
All those clamoring for Jay Hill just sit back and watch John Hartwell go to work. There should be very little turnover in coaching, and we’ll have one of the few openings. He can take his time and find the right guy. I trust him more than I hiring Jay Hill.

Re: Got to be honest
I will say, feeling zero fan anxiety going into a game knowing the outcome is certain has....a strange appeal. It actually kind of does. I am still going to watch our games and have zero expectations. Last night by the second half I wasn't cheering for a victory, I was just hoping Shelley passed fo...

Re: An honest question
I’m an eternal optimist. I don’t see a head coaching change happening next season, so I hope there is a way to turn things around before the 2022 season. I’ll be at the Fresno game next weekend and cheering, but I’m just hoping for a competitive game. I think we see a revised depth chart next week. ...

Re: Is tonight the night?
I think we will look better. San Diego State had a lot of returning talent on defense, and Boise is always good. I hope that takes a little pressure off the Defense. However, dropped passes and missed tackles are not something new. It’s a continuation from prior years.
