Re: Recommendations for Irish Rowdy's Trip to Utah

Irish Rowdy, if you didn't want do all of the driving that Southern Utah entails, I have some suggestions. I'm not sure what your budget is for the trip, but a pricier option that I would do is fly into Salt Lake City and then get a hotel room in Park City and go skiing/other winter activities. I'm...

Re: Nevada game - the perfect storm for low attendance

It’s fall break, or UEA as I remember it, for high schools this week also. So even if we allowed high schoolers it probably wouldn’t help much. I know a lot of locals are gone this weekend too. So it could be really sparse at the game. I can’t give away tickets. I think this game drops Any talk of ...

Re: will their failure at Independence result in instability

I don’t see much instability from Air Force complaining. Even if Calhoon got his way and Air Force left the conference, the Mountain West can sit back and wait for BYU to determine when they end their Indy experience. If Air Force stays, nothing changes. As far as BYU. I don’t think they have as muc...

Re: Another Miserable Forecast

I really like the wunderground.com 10-Day forecast. You can tell the timing of a storm and if it’s likely to be a short hit or miss storm or an all day event. This storm looks like it will be a solid storm spread over more than 24 hours with rain changing to snow shortly after midnight. I’ll be ther...

Looking at the long range weather forecast it looks like rain changing to snow for game day. I’ll appreciate that late kickoff if any perception is white, because rain with temps in the mid to upper 30’s is miserable.

Re: Let's Be Honest About Who We Are

It’s been 10 years since I bought my first season tickets. The difference between now and then is remarkable. I think these threads forget that the distance between 2009 and now is greater than the distance between now and where we want to be. Granted, we aren’t going to compete with LSU’s budget, f...

Re: Nevada Game time?

It’s one thing to play on ESPN, but ESPNU and one of three Mountain West games kicking off after 8:00 is not ideal ( also considering no other conference has teams kicking after 8:00 that week ). While this may be true for that one week, the Pac 12 consistently has games that start at or after 8:00...

Re: Nevada Game time?

People will find a reason to complain no matter the start time. It really shouldn't matter. I drive from Boise with young kids which means we stay Saturday night in Logan anyway. I do feel like night games are more fun with more energy. No reason Maverik shouldn't be sold out the next 3 home games....

Blocking on screens

The first play I noticed this on was around 13:40 left in the second quarter on a screen to Nathan. The safety knew where the ball was going before the snap and it was highlighted by the broadcast team. Tough when the defense can tell a screen is coming before the snap.

Faith in this Team against LSU.

I believe! I’m a blue goggles homer, but it seems like LSU fans watched the USU CSU game during their bye week seeing USU as a 20+ point favorite that only won because of the defense and special teams. I hear the coach speak about one game at a time, but are the players as overconfident as the fans....

I believe it will only happen when the NCAA equivalent of the NFL Players Association agrees to it. A labor union to represent the players featured in the game is the only way you wouldn’t end up in another Ed O’Bannon situation.

California law change?

Naw, it sucks. If they wanna make money playing football, just let them go to the NFL. This isn't even them getting "paid" to play football. It is just that they own their own likeness and can have agents. USU wouldn't have to pay a penny. But Cache Valley Electric may have some billboards, ads, or...

Dalton is not punting during the warmups. I think it is likely something that allows him to hold but restricts his ability to punt.

The main issue is in the stands as water falls off the new facility or cascades down the rows of seats. The Hawaii game had heavy rain, and little issues on t he field. Hawaii threw for almost 400 yards.

I hope the BYU series doesn't die yet. I want to take the lead in the series first. Then we can let it die. I think 2023 might be the year we skip that game to get BYU and Boise State on alternating years instead of having both teams play in Logan the same year. That would be a strange year for BYU...

The bigger news here is that this is the first time that Florida will leave the state of Florida in OOC play in 32 years. If they don’t buy out the return game. Playing in Florida first is risky. I’m surprised Florida State is traveling to Boise. Although, buying out Taggart is going to cost some m...

I don't know why some are worried about the high temps, it's not like Logan is located next to the beach or something, summer time highs in the CV are typically in the 90's, I' think our men will be plenty acclimated to the heat. The humidity might be another issue though. My weather app has Logan ...
