For anyone going who has the time, I'd highly recommend the 6th Floor Museum. A well-curated memorial to a terrible event.

Re: Is the Beehive Classic any fun?

To answer the OP, no, it isn't very fun. Every bleeping one of those games should be played on a college campus. I've been every year for the sole reason that the Aggies are there. Hopefully this will be the last year of this idiocy.

Catch of the Year

I think we now have a solid contender to challenge Mariner's catch against WF as the best catch of the season. Nathan's grab between two defenders, getting absolutely popped, hanging on with one hand as he hit the ground hard, was absolutely amazing. I was surprised to see him back in the game later...

Yes, by more than double. Previously, 26 was our largest margin of victory. We did that twice, in 1975 and in 2008.

I thought Andre Grayson had quite a nice night overall. He had a few miscues, but was solid for the better part of the game.

I don't think he favored the knee, and I watched fairly intently while he was on the floor. I was quite impressed with the athleticism of the team as a whole. Kuba moves quite well for his size. While tough to tell based on the type of play, I'm not sure he'll bang for rebounds. McChesney looks raw ...

Unfortunately, my score was from a month ago. The AFL grand final was on the 28th I believe, and it didn't feature Collingwood. Richmond won. What an awesome sport! I'll contribute more next season.

I'm still a basketball-first guy, but have relished in what football's been doing for the past decade. We used to have an army of rabid Aggie fans who couldn't wait for basketball season to vent the frustrations of poor football. I seriously believe that was a piece of what made the Spectrum so good...

Why do you guys not play Utah yearly? The short answer, prior to last year's Ute bowl loss to Northwestern, we were their last OOC loss in 2012. They narrowly escaped with wins in the two subsequent games, and all their fans were upset with having to purchase new clothing after staining their drawe...

The last time we played Florida was back in the 1999-2000 season in the first round of the Maui Invitational. That was a fun game to hear and a tough loss. We had a bunch of new pieces on the team like Daniels and Rock and Jorssen. That Florida team ended up losing in the national championship game.

Worst for me is a tossup between Rance and Tueller. Chuck Bell did hire Dave Arslanian in a Barnes-esque move just prior to departure if I remember correctly. Best has been a progression from The Colonel to Barnes to Hartwell. Each built upon what the predecessor set in motion.

The first I can recall attending was against the Utes in '86 in a loss. I'd been to a few before that, but that's the first I remember. For basketball, the first I specifically remember was the '87-88 season against UCSB. I'd attended previous games that year and in prior years (I remember seeing Gr...

I think the concern with Sammy getting shots against Thybulle is valid, and Sam's also amazingly well-rounded and intelligent, and will absolutely find ways to positively impact the game, even if he's not shooting well. Should be a fun matchup.

Interesting point in the re-watch that accentuated for me a significant difference in the previous three years vs this year: Duryea was the one who drew up the play for Jessup on Boise's last shot in regulation, and was the one in the huddle presenting the plan to the players. As the shot went awry,...
