A ghosts of the past forum
We should have a forum for talking about ghosts of the past, former players and coaches at different schools in both sports. There is a mix of people who consider them dead when they leave, and people who are interested in seeing how they do. We will for instance next year have three schools with he...

Re: Ouch - Wyoming losing Lindner
We lost Larry E. even later than this, forcing us to get Stew. But that was also in the old era where kids couldn't leave. Stew has said straight up that he couldn't coach in today's era where you have to re-recruit your roster all over again every year.

Re: A video of worst college football coaching mistakes
Also, in the game against CSU in 2011, the rams punted with less a minute to play. There’s no reason on earth we should have had a punt returner even in the game, as the only way CSU gets the ball back is if the returner drops the ball. He did. CSU recovers, scores a td, and we lose in triple OT. S...

A video of worst college football coaching mistakes
There's a youtube clip of worst college football coaching mistakes. Surprisingly, nothing Blake, Gary (in either stint), or Wells did made the cut. Nothing from Blake's Arkansas State tenure made the cut either. And a few are from Division 2 games, so the fact that we aren't a big time school doesn'...

Re: Schedule updates
It's possible that we offered to schedule a game in a player's home state to get him to commit, but are waiting on him cause him committing is the only way we are scheduling the game.

Hearing Great to Texas Tech is pretty much a done deal, but I don’t trust anything til @aggies22 confirms it. Confirmation by Aggies22 while important is not a “take it to the bank” proposition. As we’ve seen with the coaching change and Uduje it’s not a done deal until it’s a done deal. I am amaze...

Abu Wilson
One thing that's funny to think about is if NIL and TP existed when Abu Wilson played, or I should say, after the first year he played and saw significant time here, causing us to sweat out if he would be back each following year, how we would have gone about learning if he was staying or leaving wh...

Re: Legas…gone
Sorry, this has probably been mentioned ten times elsewhere, but does he have one or two years remaining? TU is a mid-tier AAC program and has had so-so QB play for years. Hope Coop can take the job early. He’ll learn soon that Chapman Stadium doesn’t have the atmosphere of the Mav. An average Hurd...

Re: Hillstead Transferring
Scotty G predicted he would be the starter by the end of the year. That wouldn't surprise me. He’ll probably be the starter at the beginning of the year. I've been advised by some reportedly in the know, that Hillstead has a high Football I Q and throws a very catchable pass that receivers loved. T...

Re: Legas…gone
One thing that's funny is that we have heard things about Blake that we would experience and have arguably experienced alot of them, and yet after how we feel about Blake mishandling Cooper, one of Cooper's first goals is to make the Arkansas State fans forget about all the bad things they were frus...

One moment of last year I will remember was against UC Irvine when we came up short of 80 and ice cream and could have gotten to 80 but just dribbled it out. And what I will always connect it to was it was while it was fresh news that Ike announced he was returning as that was just the night before...

By going to Northwestern, he would get to play in at least Wrigley Field sometimes, as well as possibly Guaranteed Rate Field(which is where the White Sox play) joining a short list(if anyone is even on it now) of college quarterbacks to throw a touchdown at both the site of a past Super Bowl and th...

I'm sure Osobor does have an affinity to Utah State and the people he has gotten to know. This go around with us looking for a kid to come just be a backup insurance policy, our options were limited on who we could get. When we are in the market for a starter next go around, we will have more of an ability to attract a starting quality quarterback.

Maybe he got the memo that the most popular guy on a losing team is always the backup quarterback, so he knows how popular he can be if he can make it to #2 on their depth chart behind Retzlaff and they are struggling in Big 12 play. Whereas our fan base is rational enough to realize we are likely g...

at WHAT players had bigger schools trying to poach them. It's common knowledge that we survived Ike and Royals having schools after them, as well as losing Booth, Fitzgerald and Switzer, although everything points towards the culture of Logan being why Switzer left. The funny thing about redshirting players
One thing that's funny about redshirting players is that in the new era of transfers, while us fans have all the LESS reason to care about keeping a redshirt on a player, in both sports, cause the odds are against them being here by their fifth year and it mattering, so we figure that we might as we...

I'm guessing 6-7 again and no contract renewal for Blake Anderson. No renewal needed, he's under contract through like 2027. Really? I thought he was under contract only through this year. This is something I thought would be worth posting here rather than starting a new thread about. A defensive tackle who we last year had committed to us before he decommitted, which added fuel to the fire of frustration we had in us losing players, ended up at Louisiana Tech. He was buried in the de...
