If any of our guys do worse on the stat sheet against CSU
than their Utah Tech counterpart did against CSU last week, we need to recruit that respective Utah Tech player to replace them. Assuming that Utah Tech player doesn't perform at high enough level for Utah or BYU to go after them!

Blake and ESPN FPI
This was our 9th win under Blake that had the opponent get to 73 at any point on the ESPN FPI probability. Six have seen the opponent get to at least 79, and this was our 3rd that had the opponent getting to 90 at at any point. As a comparison, only 7 of them have seen the ESPN FPI in our favor from...

should at least take a break while Hillstead is down putting us down to Legas with Williams as the next man up if he goes down. When Hillstead is cleared and available as a backup to Legas, or else back as the starter with Legas as the #2, it would again be worth putting Williams on special teams. T...

I would also argue that Hillstead should sit until whatever week he is cleared to practice as early as Monday, just cause with the mental part of playing quarterback, and with him being young, it is better that he only plays after practicing a full week. It's important you give the quarterback a fu...

Re: Late hit
Players get hurt cause of legal tackles. I also think it would make the game drag out longer if it was reviewable if hits were late or not. Not to mention with our luck that we would probably have our opponent's late hits overturned with review, while having ones by us upheld or created after review.

Last year, some people argued that Blake knew what he was doing keeping Bonner in being around both quarterbacks in practice, and being better at judging talent than any of us. BUT the fact is that Blake and Bonner were too close personally for Blake to be objective, and when Blake's hand was forced...

That seems to be what the conversation about Legas has been about as well. It's now just a matter of who is less bad at that.sammyhagar wrote: ↑Yesterday, 9:56 amMH has not looked of his primary target, he hasn't proven he can check down. Re: The likely reason UConn didn't run 97 for 2
That’s silly. If they tie it we still try to win in regulation. However, i think it was the right choice for UConn and the announcer is half right. UConn had momentum. They marched down the field and had just stopped us in the red zone. That’s the makings of a good chance in OT. That's just what th...

Re: The likely reason UConn didn't run 97 for 2
That’s similar to how I felt at the USU BYU game in 2011. byu’s last drive, we were up by 4. During that drive I was thinking to myself that I wish we were up by only 3, so they’d be content to kick a FG to tie it. Instead, they scored a miraculous TD to win it. I can still remember, after the miss...

Re: An alternative that should be thrown out the window now
We should take Hillstead’s RS off. 1) we need a serviceable back-up QB in case of injury; and 2) in this day of NIL and the transfer portal there is no guarantee that your up-and-comer is going to stay with the team beyond his one standout year. I would also argue that as much as us fans care about...

Re: Air Force / SDSU game
Honest question for those of you who really know football. What weaknesses does the triple option have that prevent more schools from adopting it? Obviously Air Force is very effective with it. Effective offenses usually get copied but the triple option seems to be the exception. I know one critici...

Even trying to keep the redshirt on Hillstead. Even if turns out the Hillstead is out this week and we get an acceptable performance out of Legas to justify moving forward with him, it's highly unlikely that HE would go the rest of the year without getting dinged up or performing as such to justify ...

Or at least a reason pointed out by the announcers is they were worried about us, if they got it to go up by 1, being able to throw a few quick bombs to beat them with a field goal. Whereas we wouldn't throw long bombs and instead be content going to OT if they just tie it.

Couldn't the blocked pat have been returned? Yes. You get two pts If you run it back. I think Ashford should have picked it up and run off. I was thinking the same thing. Nothing to lose in that situation to try and pick it up and run. If successful we would have had a 3 point lead and a little mor...

Question about the Sky View coaches(that are left from Ike's time)
How would they handle getting calls asking about Ike's interest in transferring? Would they look at playing for Utah or somewhere else as an opportunity that Ike needs to take advantage of, or are they firm enough Aggies that they want Ike to finish his eligibility here as much as the rest of us? In our infamous ugly 12-9 over Southern Utah in 2015, doing it was the difference between it ending 12-9 in regulation and it going to OT at 10-10. We also did it against Boise one year. https://www.youtube.com/wa...

There should always be a plan in place to pull the starter for the other if he is ineffective. BOTH seem to be better coming off the bench that starting. That said, if Hillstead is even slightly dinged up, even able to pass doctor's tests without being 100 percent, play Legas. Hillstead has proven h...

Bozo's run game looks scary. If we play Mell and Mosley for a change, the opposing rushing offenses will not be a problem. If I'm reading Mosley's tweets correctly, he is not happy with his role in the game today. Maybe he takes a redshirt and hits the portal? https://twitter.com/CliftonMosleyJr/st...

Some people were upset about us falling behind early, happy about us coming back and taking the lead, wanting us to hold on the lead both times we got in to 7, wanted us to get a stop at the end, BUT then were unhappy about us blocking the PAT. Those were the people that bet us to cover and wanted u...

losing to G5 Bowling Green in game that wasn't even as close as the 11 point margin would indicate. Also, imagine how Florida fans are feeling about losing to Kentucky, as they fell behind at about the same time we did without the fight from behind we had.

I'm happy for Legas and his performance. Hopefully Hillstead is ok. Unless this team really turns it on, I think it'd be best to let Cooper finish out as starter for this subpar (young) team and let Hillstead redshirt. That said, Hillstead still has 1 more ge he can play, correct? Hillstead can't p...

Has Hillstead ever had to play in the rain? Can anyone who follows Skyridge or one of their foes remember a Skyridge game with rain. Just light sprinkles or torrential downpour? Did Hillstead perform in that game as well as he usually does? No QB performs as well as they usually do in the rain. It’...

It's an extremely routine thing, in fact, it would have been weird for them to leave yesterday. They typically arrive at their destination at around 5 or 6 the night before regardless of if it's a bus ride to Boise or a flight to Hartford. it's normal for USU, but a team like Oregon or USC would go...
