Re: In all seriousness

The real concern is, the way Porter and Miller are struggling being left open cause of the double and triple teams on Merrill, how are they going to be next year when teams are able to put someone on them cause of being able to put just one guy on the guy in Merrill's place next year.

Another strange parallel

Most would compare this to the 2002 BYU blown lead game. But there is another strange parallel between the two: The involvement of someone named "Dennis". The big play of the 2002 BYU game, extending the halftime lead which really got our hopes up, was the interception return touchdown on the last p...

Re: Most embarrassing loss ever

Honestly, as bad as this loss was, it doesn’t feel like it was the worst Aggie loss. In my mind, reflecting back to 2018 when the Aggies played San Jose St and shot 43 3pt shots, only made 12 and lost, that was a worse loss. Mostly because I knew there was no hope with Duryea and we were at an all ...

Re: Now vs. Then

The only noticeable difference besides a few bench players and Taylor leaving is the mindset and expectations. Last we we were picked last and this year we were picked first. based on what I've learned this year from the football and the basketball teams, the Aggies don't respond well to high expec...

Re: Most embarrassing loss ever

This is the worst loss in Aggie basketball history. This is a type of loss that hangs over a program forever. We will always be known as the team that gave up an 18 point lead in the last 4 minutes. Some Bronco fan will make a youtube video about the comeback and put it to music. Probably the Titan...

And I thought OPs take that LSU football was overrated was bad No team's defense accomplished to getting to LSU's weakness. Good for LSU, no defense could really get that offense with the pass rush and coverage that was needed. Many said here were bragging how good LSU was without facing elite team...

Also, while most people were excited about the Falcons beating the Patriots 28-3, then unhappy about them coming back JUST cause of hating the Patriots, I can say DJ was the one reason I was excited then unhappy about it respectively.

Re: KAR: Aranda head coach at Baylor

Also, we'll have to see if Bill Busch gets the promotion to DC to replace him and prove that maybe it wasn't his fault our defense was poor under him after all. Or get fired after they lose to Alabama next year, cause after this year, a season of one loss will be considered failure. Or maybe he will...

Now Aranda and Wells have similar goals. Aranda's goal is to keep TTURed as fired up about Wells as he has been since he was hired, and on the radio saying that there is a difference between supporting Texas Tech and supporting Matt Wells! While Wells's goal is to keep TTURed quiet and get BUGreen t...

There was also a game here where Long Beach State had their coach ejected. That would have been Seth Greenberg - the talking head of ESPN fame now. Our 19 pt loss to AF doesn't look to shabby compared to UNM's 105-72 annihilation against Colorado State. Also, Air Force is going to get a big win vs Boise tonight. New Mexico also wasn't thinking single digit NCAA Tournament seed earlier this year like we were. If there is a team whose losses thi...

While Stew and Duryea never got ejected from a game and Smith hasn't yet, I did hear that Dutch Belnap got ejected once in a road game. honest question: did we like Maile as DC before? I have a vague recollection that we did NOT. We've never seen Collins as DC. 5/22 years as a DC, popping into and out of the position doesn't scream DC prodigy. I LOVED FM's demeanor and attitude leading up to and after Wells' departure, and I'm real...

Re: Staff Shakeup Ena out as DC

Gary did demote Busch from DC without firing him during his first stint. Speaking of which, Busch did help LSU to a national title, so maybe he wasn't as poor of a coach as we thought, or is just a poor coordinator but a great position coach. Maybe he has a personality that connects better with blue...

Re: Hindsight is 20/20: very unwise to schedule national champion on the road

The only problem with it that I saw was that we came away from the game completely beat up. Half of LSU's players have NFL talent compared to 3 or 4 of USU's players. It completely stopped any momentum USU had and turned the season sour. I'm sure it got into some of the players heads to be dominate...

Re: Hindsight is 20/20: very unwise to schedule national champion on the road

I personally like the idea of playing the eventual national champion. And I don't understand why it is continually repeated that we shouldn't have scheduled them "in the middle of conference games". We won the first conference game we played after them, and the games we lost didn't have anything to ...

The travel partner thing is problematic too.. Say the conference adds NMSU. They would pair up with UM. WY and CSU works. But then it gets a bit more dicey. There is nobody close to AFA. That would most likely mean you as their travel partner.. Boise out to the west division could pair with NV thou...

I think this schedule where we play one at home, one on the road, one at home, etc. makes it hard to get right. The team is traveling between every game instead of getting to stay a week or two at home to practice and get right. That's why I posted months ago that adding a 12th team to make schedul...

The extra fire Nevada supposedly should have from losing to SJSU and the extra fire we should supposedly have after losing at Air Force should be a wash. Then again, maybe us getting blown out would do more to cause us to refocus more than Nevada losing a close one.
