Re: First shoe to drop? State of South Carolina...

Another domino, Lafayette cancelling a game against Navy.

https://fbschedules.com/lafayette-colle ... e-at-navy/

This could very well be the "Chicago State refusing to play in Seattle" of college football season.

Re: Just play flag football this year

With the risk of playing even without fans cause of 100 guys in a locker room, just play 7 on 7 flag football, with the games as scheduled. Have teams field their 7 best players, even if it changes throughout the season as some or all of them are unavailable cause of testing positive or being aroun...

Re: If there is no football season

I hated when USU did away with wrestling. One of our top programs. I worked with Cordell Anderson (spelling). He was one tough dude I love when I hear one of our football recruits wrestled in high school. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Some people I knew at Logan High thought Chris Cooley was s...

Re: If there is no football season

There are only a handful of P5 schools that are so flush with cash for the lack of revenue from a season to not take a hit causing them to have to move down. Maybe the new FBS could be all the few schools that are blue bloods like Texas, USC, Ohio State, Michigan, SEC, schools with the big budgets. ...

Several players trying to get Covid NOW

Several football players have told Pete Thamel they want to get COVID now so that they are immune to it by September.

Re: Reliving all 28 sub-minute scoring drives from 2018

Man, Darwin Thompson is such a special player. His ability to keep his balance and his feet moving when he gets hit is incredible. I'm selfishly sad we only had him in Logan for a year, but it was an electric one. Really hope he gets more touches with the Chiefs this year. https://www.youtube.com/w...

Re: New commit from Russia

There are a couple things I know about him. His parents were very dejected in 1980! He would have a goal to give some other sets of basketball fans around the country the same feeling of dejection his parents felt in 1980! Also, While Jaycee Carroll would know ALOT of people that were PISSED over a ...

Re: Conversation w/a MWC School FB Player

I believe this to be true. But what about attendance? And before anyone suggests allowing attendance but not at capacity- how do you then decide who gets to come and who doesn't? Which season ticket holders get to attend and which don't? A bunch of schools in our league won’t have that problem but ...

Re: Conversation w/a MWC School FB Player

Also, and I have posted this elsewhere, but with the students, they need to do one of two things with Hurd Premium. Either cap it at the number of students that are allowed to go to the games, or advise them that there is a stipulation that they are still not guaranteed to get into the game.

Re: Early December Games - COVID Impact

Hurd Premium will REALLY be PREMIUM this year considering that it might be the only way students get to go to some of the games. It's kind of a good thing we aren't playing BYU in football at home this year, and not a good year to have them come here for basketball. We may have to cap Hurd Premium a...

with all of these discussions about starting off classes on campus and then sending everyone away for online classes for safety reasons and on and on and on. What i s the point of even having classes on campus at all? Why even bring the students on campus. This is a pain for those of us from out of...

Re: Came across a gem today

I think that this was the game where John L. blurted out on the radio after the game, "We were just too stupid to win." One of the all time great John L. quotes! That wouldn't be the last time he would scream over a field goal attempt with time running out in the half. There was a time while he was...

We will probably never do this again

In 2012, Our Defense went ALL Season without allowing a First Quarter Touchdown, something we will probably never do again. Even Alabama, Ohio State and Utah, for how great they always are on defense, is hard pressed to ever go the whole season without allowing. Sure they play tougher schedules than...

Hoping we run that defense again. Sparties had no clue where the pressure was going to come from. A couple of the guys on that defense are now on our staff so hopefully we can get back to that this year!

Re: Utah HS Football

So here's another question. What do they do if the CDC is still saying that they can't pack the stadiums for games and can only be at 25 or 50 percent capacity? They could do something like allow ONLY current students of the home team to attend games, or if that's too still many people, allow only j...
