Re: Alaska Track Meet

All that snow right at the edge of the track, sun shining, both runners in shorts with no leg or arm coverage -yet only one "almost" puddle visible. looks suspect I served my mission in Alaska, when it got above 20 degrees we would take off our suit jackets since it felt warm. It’s plausible ...

Have any of the USU players signed as free agents? I haven’t heard of any. That’s pretty telling.

How come the visitor’s names are kept secret? We often know when regular recruits are visiting.

Seeing Bean again makes me sad that the Merrill, Queta and Bean combo didn’t get a chance in the big dance when things got shut down for Covid.

Re: Current State of USU Basketball

I would still recruit high school players that are local. By that I mean anyone within a 300 mile radius. Also, any legacy kids should also be recruited. There is a chance those type of kids will hang around just like Johnson and Faslev.

It would make no sense for Legas to go to either Utah or BYU. Both teams have their QB set for the coming season. He would have less chance at getting on the field than he would at USU.

Brown was a ton quicker than Hall which made him a lot better defender. Mason is a much better slasher than Hall. Hall is probably a better outside scorer than Mason.

He was our best big defender. When he switched players on high screens, he could easily guard a smaller player.

I’ve seen enough of Jackson Grant to know I don’t want a scholarship used on him. Saw lots more potential out of Burris.
From what I’ve read foreign players NIL money is getting passed through family members to get around the student visa issues.

I have to admit after listening to Diana Sabau's interview with Scotty that my opinion of her went way up. I guess I assumed that she was a bit of a diversity hire before. After listening to her she is on top of things. She impressed me. Could be the best athletic director we've had.

Obviously, the guy hasn't watched any of the videos on X that have a counter going on while Edey is in the lane. Some of them show him in the lane at least 9 seconds without any 3 second call. Don't tell me the refs don't give him an advantage.

How about Josh Schertz out of Indiana State? That’s close to Ohio and he’s had two pretty good years there.
He's supposedly headed to Saint Louis. Or is at least the favorite for that job anyways.
You mean to say we can’t out bid St. Louis?

The NCAA has become worthless in both the NIL department and the limiting of transfers department. There has to be some restrictions that would stand up in court. The NCAA needs to come up with them and enforce them.

The reffing definitely fell in Purdue’s favor. It was basically a home game for them. USU would still have lost without the calls against them. Just not so wide of margin.
