Re: Staff Shakeup Ena out as DC

Collins and Maile on offense made no sense last year. Neither one of them had been on that side of the ball before and probably did our offense no favors. Just a bad experiment. Both of them are defensive guys and should be on the defensive side of the ball. Glad to see them back where they belong.

Re: Coach poaching question...

Tim Miles will make 2.5M next year if he stays at NE. I've heard Utah State and Coach Smith mentioned a number of times on the daily husker radio program Sports Nightly here in NE. They are very much aware of the success Coach Smith is having and I'd figure he would be on the list . I would guess NE...

Re: Stew Sightings

Stew came to Sky VIew at least once that I know of to watch Nate Harris play a game. I'm pretty sure he had already committed at that point. Nate hit a 3 from just inside half court just as the 2nd quarter ended. But then again, that was 13 years ago and I don't know if Stew still gets out that much.

Re: We‘re one Pooh away from feeling much better

Hipster has this one right. The successful teams of old have been composed of 3 things. 1- A serviceable point guard who can run the offense, dish the ball, low turnovers, break a press, and shoots at a high percentage (which we don't have this year) 2- A lock down defender (which we don't have this...

Re: future bigs?

All joking aside, I think the OP as a valid concern. If we want to be able to compete at a higher level we need to have some quality bigs at the 5. Next year Stone can keep things going defensively but we won't get much offensively out of him. Shanks is an unproven commodity at this point and I hope...

Re: Gawd it would be so easy to expand our stadium

The easy place to expand is to add a section on each end on the upper east side. Both sections would sit on the hill side. Could be done easy for less than $500,000. If attendance continues like it has, it would pay for itself in just a few years. Seems like the thing to do.

If the athletic department was smart, they would pay for Reed to attend some football games at some of the storied football programs around the country to see how it should be done. While I agree that Moore is really talented, I would hate to see him loose a year of eligibility playing 5 minutes a game coming off the bench. We all know that Medlin will get his 35 minutes. Butterfield will get at least 30 minutes. Berger will get 10 minutes. That leaves five minutes for Jean and...

Re: Metal Bleachers in the S. EZ at Romney?

I was thinking about this the other day. Last year in Boise I sat on the bleachers and hated it. However, this year I discovered the $5 rental for a padded seat that clipped to the bleacher and it was a godsend. They had a great system: you just paid $5 for one as you walked into the stadium and th...

Wells brought his wife and kids to the game and sat on my same row. He was really nice to my boy and spent a lot of time on on his phone and talking to people. He didn't get a chance to watch much of the game and did leave about mid way through the second half. It was very nice to see him there.

LaTech is now being called classless by UTSA fans for running a no huddle offense with seconds remaining in the game then scoring a TD on a fake field goal with a few seconds left in the game. Trying to compensate for a poor game and beat the spread I guess.

For what it's worth, Stanford already does basically what you suggest. Students get points for every game they attend. In that last video you can see #20 bend down and pick up the black tee and hold it while he jumps around. Still impressive. However, looking at ESPN ratings the kid isn't ranked. I'm more interested in what a kicker's percentage is at 40 yards or less. It would be nice to know his stats.
