Re: Draft Day!

How about the Jazz offer Lonzo 25mil per year instead?

Actually.. I think that because they're over the cap they can only offer the mid level exception to players who weren't on the jazz last year.

Too bad. Lonzo would be better

How would we react if she had a leg injury, tried to play through it and said, "I can't continue, I'll hurt the team?" I can't help but think that this is a good example of how people just don't view mental health in the same way they view physical health. We have a really hard time relating, empath...

Re: WSU coach in a pissing match with administration over vaccination

A guy chooses to not be vaccinated. Why does that person need a mask and/or testing? To keep him safe? Isn't that up to him? To keep vaccinated people safe from him? Shouldn't the vaccine do that? Should we require all unvaccinated people to wear masks and submit to testing? So all children? Sick n...

Hmm, so we might get a forfeit win vs a team that would otherwise beat us (most of the teams on our schedule) - seems like a good way to win the over bet for season wins.

My comment has nothing to do with the original post but it is about soccer, so here goes. I admittedly know very little about soccer. To illustrate this point, i once thought that when seeing a box score from a soccer game showing a goal scored reported at 28', I took that to mean that it was shot ...

NBA is funny... people tend to focus on stars and think superstars win championships. Perhaps championship teams create superstars. Look at that list, how many of those players won with just run-of-the-mill NBA players on their team? Not many. Most those teams have multiple hall of famers. Basketba...

Anyone watch the Mexico match yesterday? Hirving Lozano was bumped on a run into the box and tried to draw a penalty by diving to the ground. His dive drove his head right into the knee of the incoming Keeper. Dude is messed up from it. I bet it won't teach him that he shouldn't take a dive. https:...

I'm with Geo. Parking around UofU sucks. Park by an eating establishment close to 4th South - and get some food. Or Trolley, 1 block south - Skewered Thai is good. Then get on Trax and go up the hill to the stadium.

I still can't resolve in my mind how badly Rudy played v Clippers. It wasn't that he couldn't defend or score. He couldn't even rebound. Maybe the loss was obvious to the Jazz coach and he didn't want to lose and be questioned about why Rudy didn't play. Jazz fans (and I) called Paul George overrat...

They need players who can defend on the perimeter and hit threes. They have guys that can hit threes, but not guys that can defend on the perimeter. I think they need to shop some of their guys for different guys, or maybe some draft picks.

What we saw was an entire team problem, not just a Gobert problem. The Jazz are only good at defense because of Gobert. No one can stay in front of their guy. The Clippers took advantage of this by playing give guys who shot 40+ percent from three, pulling Gobert away from the basket, and exposing t...
