Re: Dump 1280!
Kind of like the Jimmer stuff right? I don't remember hearing much about Jimmer after his BYU days. He wasn't drafted by the Jazz. Well, besides when he got married, when he had a baby, when he switched teams 10 times, when he went to China to play. Other than that, I never heard about him after th...

Re: Dump 1280!
Meh. This feels like an overreaction. Nobody cares about Sam Merrill but us, and we are a relatively small percentage of their listeners. The vast majority of their listeners were listening for stuff on the Jazz. It would have been nice if they had brought it up, but whatever. What difference does ...

I just hope that Covid doesn't kill off an entire generation of student fans (not literally kill off, of course). I hope it can get back to the way it was before.

One thing I have noticed over the past several games is how hard this team plays. Guys diving on the floor for loose balls, running hard off screens, playing hard-nosed defense, etc. I love it.

I don't recall many on here knocking his defense. I always thought he was a capable defender. Not Tyler Newbold/Pooh Williams level, but good. My beef is that last year it felt like he would shoot us out of games at times.

I especially liked how every time SUDS would get to within 5-8 points, we would hit a big shot or two to push the lead back out. SUDS only really made one run in the game, and that was right at the start of the second half.

Of course. Most NBA players get posterized a time or two. It's just kinda funny.USUaggienation wrote: ↑January 9th, 2021, 6:03 amIt’s the NBA. If you’re doing your job, you’re going to get dunked on. As fans, we’re make a big deal of it, but it really isn’t.

He definitely has the frame and athleticism. He is a very good passer and defender. His offensive development had been a bit slow and now he is a couple of years older. He sometimes has problems finishing in traffic and tries to finesse it when he needs to go strong. He has a good chance to get draf...

They are both very good, but it is a bit early for these expectations. Hopefully they'll live up to the hype.

Re: Has Gary said anything at all?
I'm just going to assume that there was a "for cause" component to his firing. It is the only thing that makes sense. If that is the case, I wouldn't expect anyone to say much. Probably neither side has much interest in bringing whatever it is to light.

Re: Interesting Development
First of all, I don't believe this for a second. But even if this were true, it really makes no sense for USU. The AAC is a marginally better football conference (and would be for sure with Boise and BYU), but the MWC is a much better regional fit for us with like-minded regional schools. Sometimes ...

People who don't at close attention don't see how Rudy affects the game. He has an enormous impact on the Jazz, and they are demonstrably better when he is on the floor.

Who cares? Just go already and don't let the door hit you. High maintenance (I can't express myself without swearing) are fun for an occasional roll in the hay, but don't make very good life partners.

Re: Rudy Gobert - New Contract
The players and owners split basketball-related revenue approximately 50/50. The salary cap is set based on that number. The max and supermax contracts are based on a percentage of the salary cap and how many years the player has in the league. So the more money the league makes the bigger the max c...

Re: Did the MWC Just Settle with the Boazybunch
Apparently it was dismissed without prejudice, which would tend to indicate there was not a settlement. My guess is that Boise dismissed the case voluntarily so the parties could discuss without the litigation pending. They could re-file if negotiations break down.

I get that the players like Maile, but resorting to the race card on this just seems stupid. Is Maile objectively a better candidate than Anderson, who has been and FBS head coach for multiple years and a successful one at that? No? Then they have no argument. If they want to play that game, they ca...
