Re: Keys against SDSU?

1. I think Queta is going to have to dominate inside on defense. 2. Utah State needs to make three point shots and get open from there. 3. We can't let Shakel and Mitchell get hot from 3. I understand the points about turnovers, but SDSU doesn't really put a lot of effort into forcing turnovers. Tha...

Re: Queta Draft Buzz

Does anyone else find it interesting that Queta is having his best season but is getting less draft buzz than after his freshman year. What is the deal? He doesn't have a jump shot. He's older. He's already been evaluated previously. He plays on a very small market team. He also doesn't show a lot ...

Vedishev has the most scoring potential on this team. However his understanding of the game is very far behind several other players.

Shulga, Zapala, and Vedischev have all been a bit disappointing to me. I think they’ll come along and end up being contributors but right now I hold my breath any time any of them are in the game. Shulga just needs to relax a bit and get stronger. Zapala needs to work on his hands and get more athl...

Yeah it was his first game and just the fact that he got in for first half minutes as the 60th pick shows they believe in him. He is in a good spot. If he is good enough and can help the Bucks win, Budenholzer will play him.
The fact that he played over Torrey Craig speaks volumes.

I agree, and of the 10 that stay in state, most years 10 go to BYU or Utah. It's unfortunate, but it's the reality. Doesn't mean we should not recruit Utah heavily every year. Generally speaking, no less than 25% of the roster should be Utah kids. What are you basing the 25% number on? I don't know...

The Utah State coaches have made a mistake by not working Shulga into the rotation more. Why? Who else is going to consistently or potentially consistently knock down threes? Not Anthony. Not necessarily Miller. Not necessarily anyone else.

It's a coaching mistake to not play more of the bench on the home court. It's early in the season and the coaches should be finding out who's going to be in the rotation by how they're competing in the game. Regardless I still believe in this team. You can't give up early on a young team.

The one thing I'm concerned about is ball handling. Do we have enough playmakers that can handle the ball and distribute? Certainly ball handling is something like a weakness. However I think it's more of a problem of lack of speed. We had arguably our best PG ever in Bernard Rock and there has nev...
